Winston Churchill Fellowship
In July 2019 I started my travels to Australia as part of Winston Churchill Fellowship. The aim of this fellowship was to travel to Australia and visit organisations which worked with people who had experienced significant trauma at some point in their lives so that I could learn about the different techniques practitioners were using. The main objective was to utilise this experience by returning to England and applying what I had learned to my own work with New Beginnings Greater Manchester. This week the report has been published on the WCMT website. If you would like to find out what I learned and how I applied it to New Beginnings, you can read a copy of the report here: How do you know where you are going if you don't know where you are coming from?
And if you follow this link, you can read the article that was published in Qualitative Social Work after I returned from my travels in September: Life After the National Apology: Reflections on a Winston Churchill Fellowship.
